Prayer and Charity Needed for our Friends in Burma
I laid awake last night for a very long time with a deeply troubled heart.Last August, we wrote about Burma and the wonderful people that live in this small troubled country. Today, they are in a humanitarian crisis. The cyclone that tore through Burma has left millions suffering.
It is a hard time to find the means to help. Here in America, many of us are struggling just to make it to another day - so the environment that allowed so many to help after the Christmas Day Tsunami has disappeared.
The crisis is just beginning. More than 1.5 million 
people could die, most from starvation and disease and mostly children and babies.

We wrote about the Safe Haven Orphanage, and little Ruby and others. We have not been able to find out yet if Monte Christen and his staff are safe. I read that in Yangon, the Junta has evicted many from schools and homes so they could use the buildings for the recent vote to concrete the Juntas power. We do not know if the little orphans were thrown out or not. We will keep emailing and trying to find out.
I know that money is very tight for many right now, but prayers are a powerful thing and if you have time, please spend a moment raising a prayer for those that are suffering.
If you are planning on donating money to help, please be very careful. Already, just awful people are scamming using the suffering peoples of Burma as a tool. I have listed a few safe places below. What is happening by the Government there is being described as evil and we cannot turn our backs on any suffering. So please, a prayer costs nothing, light a candle, ask your God to intervene. This awful crisis is far from over and in the end could spread disease and death to millions. Thank you very much.
